This is definitely the hot topic nowadays... will you get the COVID-19 vaccine or not? It is decision that must personally be made after researching accurate information on the vaccines. As Home Healthcare providers, we fall into the Phase 1A Group and are eligible to receive the vaccine. As owners of this registry that serves a vulnerable population, we both made the decision to vaccinate, and were thankful to receive our first doses this last week. We have also strongly encouraged the Caregivers on our registry to do their own research and vaccinate themselves, and many have already done so. You should layer steps to help protect yourself and others from COVID-19.
• Wear a mask that covers your mouth AND nose.
• Stay at least 6 feet from people who don’t live with you, and avoid crowds.
• Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol.
• Get a COVID-19 vaccine when it is your turn.
