Finding the right caregiver is just the beginning.
Choosing in-home care is an important decision, and we understand that every family’s situation is unique. At Willamette Valley Caregivers (WVC), our goal is to make the process as simple, personal, and supportive as possible.
Unlike a one-size-fits-all approach, we take time to understand your loved one’s needs, preferences, routines, and personality so we can help connect you with caregiver candidates who may be a good fit.
The graphic above outlines our six-step process—from your first phone call through ongoing support—but what truly sets WVC apart is the relationships we help create along the way.
A Personalized Approach to Care
When you contact us, we begin by listening. We want to understand not only the practical needs—such as schedules, personal care, transportation, meal preparation, companionship, or dementia support—but also what is most important to your family.
Once we determine that we have caregiver availability that aligns with your needs, we schedule a home assessment to learn more, answer questions, and explain how our caregiver registry works. This allows everyone to move forward with a clear understanding of expectations and responsibilities.
Finding the Right Match
A successful care arrangement depends on more than skills and experience. Personality, communication style, shared interests, and comfort level all play an important role.
That is why we arrange introductions between clients and available caregiver candidates before any decisions are made. Families have the opportunity to meet, ask questions, and determine whether the caregiver feels like the right fit.
We believe that thoughtful matching creates stronger relationships, greater consistency, and better outcomes for everyone involved.
Ongoing Support
Our role does not end once a caregiver begins providing care.
WVC continues to provide support by helping with timekeeping, maintaining records, and serving as an ongoing resource for both clients and caregivers. As needs change over time, we are available to help navigate schedule changes, additional care needs, or questions that arise.
Our mission is simple: to help older adults remain safely and comfortably at home by connecting them with caregivers who are the right fit—while providing guidance and support every step of the way.

Perhaps the greatest value that home care provides to individuals is choice: the choice to maintain dignity and independence - the choice to live at home.
